Get into the Easter spirit with a little holiday baking! Whether you’re whipping up treats for home, packing something sweet into lunchboxes, or hosting an Easter brunch, these simple recipes bring all the fun, flavour, and festive charm of the season.

Recipe 1 - Chocolate Easter Nests Recipe

Ingredients (makes 12 nests):

• 200g milk chocolate

• 2 tbsp butter

• 2 tbsp golden syrup

• 4 cups of your favourite cereal like rice puffs or wheat flakes

• Mini easter eggs for decorating

Instructions:

1. Melt chocolate, butter, and golden syrup together until smooth.

2. Pour over cereal and mix gently until coated.

3. Spoon mixture into cupcake liners and create a small well.

4. Press mini easter eggs into the centre of each nest.

5. Refrigerate for 1 hour, or until firm.

Recipe 2 – Mini Easter Egg Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients (makes 18 cookies):

2 3/4 cups (350 g) plain/all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup (200 g) brown sugar

1/2 cup (100 g) white sugar

2 large eggs

1 tbsp vanilla extract

1 cup (175 g) chocolate chips (milk OR white)

1 1/2 cups (250 g) Your favourite mini easter eggs, chopped

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 180°C (fan 160°C). Line baking trays.

2. Cream butter and sugars until creamy.

3. Mix in eggs one at a time and add vanilla.

4. Combine dry ingredients and add to wet mixture.

5. Fold in chocolate chips and chopped mini easter eggs.

6. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls onto trays.

7. Press extra mini easter eggs on top of each cookie.

8. Bake 9–11 minutes, until edges are set

9. Cool on tray for 10 minutes, then move to rack.
